We recently sat down and had a chat to Caroline Pidcock, the spokesperson for Australian Architects Declare, Life Fellow at the Australia Institute of Architects, Founder of PIDCOCK and sustainability advocate, to reflect on her experiences as a Pathzero member.
Originally approached by our CEO and Co-Founder, Carl Prins, Pidcock saw the alignment between Pathzero and her commitment to Australian Architects Declare Climate and Biodiversity Emergency, driving her to become a member. Caroline quoted “I am personally and professionally aware of the urgent need to reduce carbon emissions. This should be done by first reducing as many emissions as possible, and offsetting the rest. This is a focus for me, and as Spokesperson for Australian Architects Declare, this is a key part of our platform”.
Australian Architects Declare is part of the international network Construction Declares – “a global petition uniting all strands of construction and the built environment. It is both a public declaration of our planet’s environmental crises and a commitment to take positive action in response to climate breakdown and biodiversity collapse.” Learn more.
