Sydney, Australia – June 23, 2022 – Pathzero, a SaaS-based company specialising in the management of financed emissions in private markets investment portfolios, has hired James Paull as Climate Regulation & Reporting Lead, the latest addition to its leadership team as part of Pathzero’s global growth strategy. Paull will work to help asset managers and asset owners to understand and navigate the myriad of evolving climate reporting and disclosure requirements and provide counsel that puts them on a path to net zero emissions and alignment with the Paris Agreement.

Paull joins Pathzero from Deloitte Australia, where he was a Director in the Investment & Wealth Management Advisory Team and consulted with buy-side clients on matters including compliance, risk, governance and ESG. Prior to Deloitte, Paull worked at M&G Investments in London where he was charged with watching developments in the U.K and EU regulatory arena. Paull began his career at the U.K.’s Financial Conduct Authority. He is a graduate of the University of Nottingham.  

Pathzero currently serves private investment firms around the world. Among those, StepStone Group, Antler and Carthona Capital were the first to join a pilot program to test Pathzero Navigator, a data-driven portfolio alignment tool designed to provide private investors with an initial PCAF-compliant estimate of their financed emissions.
